Why online casinos take so long to pay out

A published payout time is really three clocks, and most casinos publish them separately. Reading only one is how a “48-hour withdrawal” becomes a week.

1. Pending. The request waits, and you can usually reverse it. Zodiac and the other Casino Rewards sites hold it for 48 hours.[12] source Jackpot City calls this the “reverse withdrawal period” and holds every request for at least 24 hours.[15] source
2. Processing. The casino approves the payment and sends it. 7Bit and Cobra promise this within 72 hours of approval.[3] source[6] source Your first withdrawal also waits here for ID checks.
3. The method. The payment provider takes over. At Zodiac, e-wallets take one to three working days and CAD EFT two to three.[12] source Interac at 7Bit takes one to three banking days.[4] source

Add the three at a Casino Rewards site and the result is four to six days by Skrill. That’s the number our table shows, not the 48 hours.

The shortest chain we found is at BitStarz. Its terms say it tries to pay out within one hour, with a 10-minute average.[1] source Its Canadian cashier lists Interac e-Transfer for withdrawals from $50 to $10,000.[2] source The same terms keep the right to pay substantial wins in monthly instalments.

Every casino’s published payout time

Checked on September 26, 2026: this table covers every casino in our catalogue, the shortest published time first. Where a casino publishes all three stages, the payout column adds them up. If a casino doesn’t publish a number, the table says “not published” — not a guess.

Casinos outside our ranking are ones we checked but don’t score: their affiliate program doesn’t pass our check. That’s about the affiliate side, not about how they pay players.

Three things the table can’t show: your bank’s own processing, weekends, and the wait for documents on a first withdrawal. The next sections cover each, because they decide when the money actually lands.

Interac, e-wallet or crypto: what comes back fastest

The method you deposit with often decides the method you’re paid with, so it’s worth choosing before the first deposit.

• Interac both ways. BitStarz, 7Bit, Cobra and Vegaz list Interac e-Transfer for withdrawals. BitStarz takes requests from $50 to $10,000.[2] source Cobra caps each Interac withdrawal at $750, from a $30 minimum.[8] source Vegaz takes $30 to $2,000 per request and lists up to 48 hours.[21] source 7Bit lists one to three banking days.[4] source
• Interac in, something else out. The Casino Rewards sites take Interac deposits but pay Canadians by Visa, CAD EFT or Skrill. CAD EFT takes two to three working days after processing, with no fee from the casino.[12] source
• E-wallets and crypto. 7Bit’s payments page marks both as instant, on top of the 72-hour processing promise in its terms.[4] source[3] source The wallet still has to reach your bank. MuchBetter charges $5 to send CAD to a Canadian bank account or by e-Transfer.[27] source That transfer takes three to five business days.[20] source

If you want the money in your bank account, not a wallet, the published Interac time is usually the one to compare.

When the FAQ and the terms disagree

Several casinos give one time in their FAQ and a longer one in their terms. Our table quotes the longer time from the terms and notes the faster one next to it.

• 7Bit. The FAQ says crypto withdrawals arrive “instantly or within one hour”. The terms say withdrawals are processed within 72 hours of approval.[5] source[3] source The FAQ also says verification is done within 24 hours; the terms allow up to 30 working days.[5] source[3] source
• Cobra Casino. The FAQ aims to process withdrawals within 12 hours. The terms say within 72 hours of approval, and the cashier page marks every method “Instant”.[7] source[6] source[8] source The KYC policy says document review can take up to 30 working days.[9] source
• Zoome. The FAQ says the maximum processing time is 24 hours and most requests are done within three. The terms say within 72 hours of approval.[11] source[10] source
• Vegaz Casino. The withdrawals page lists Interac at up to 48 hours and crypto at up to 24. The terms give the casino two business days to approve or decline a request.[21] source[22] source

None of this means these casinos pay late. It means the faster figure is a target. The terms are what you can point to if a request sits longer.

Weekends, business days and the first withdrawal

“Business days” skip Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and several casinos say so outright:

• Jackpot City holds requests made between Thursday 05:00 and Sunday 05:00 GMT until Monday 05:00 GMT.[15] source
• King Billy approves withdrawals only from Monday 7:00 AM to Friday 4:00 PM UTC.[18] source
• Gigadat, one of the processors behind casino Interac payments, processes withdrawals Monday to Friday only.[19] source
• MuchBetter needs three to five business days to move money from your wallet to a Canadian bank account.[20] source
• Spin City is the exception. After a pending period of up to 48 hours, it processes withdrawals every day, weekends and holidays included.[23] source

Why is my withdrawal still pending?

If the published time has passed, work through this list before you contact support.

1. The pending period hasn’t ended. At Casino Rewards sites it’s 48 hours before processing even starts.[12] source
2. Verification is open. Under Cobra’s terms, no reply to a document request within two weeks locks the account and cancels the withdrawal.[6] source
3. Your deposit isn’t wagered yet. Cobra wants every deposit wagered three times before a withdrawal. Otherwise it can charge a fee or refuse.[6] source BitStarz requires the deposit to be wagered once.[1] source At GGBet, staking less than twice your deposit can cost an administrative fee of up to 20%.[14] source
4. A limit applies. Casino Rewards sites pay wins far above your deposits at up to $4,000 a week.[13] source Cobra’s base VIP level allows $500 a day.[6] source

LeoVegas blocks our connection, so we read a September 22, 2026 copy of its Canadian page. It says most withdrawals clear within five business days: MuchBetter typically takes one to three, and bank transfers can run to seven.[17] source Withdrawals start at $20, with a monthly maximum of $20,000.[17] source Interac is deposit-only there, so winnings go out by MuchBetter, bank transfer or another e-wallet.

Jackpot City and Spin Casino

Both hold every withdrawal pending for at least 24 hours.[15] source Spin Casino’s FAQ puts e-wallets at 24 to 48 hours and other methods at three to seven business days. Its minimum withdrawal is $50.[16] source

PlayOJO and Casumo

PlayOJO says an Interac withdrawal often arrives within 24 hours after release.[24] source Casumo says it reviews withdrawals “within a matter of hours”, and bank transfers take up to five days.[25] source

Toppz, Casino.com and any other brand

We haven’t read Toppz’s or Casino.com’s terms yet, so we don’t quote a time for them. You can find any casino’s withdrawal time yourself in about five minutes:

1. Open its banking or payments page and note the time for your method.
2. Search the terms for “pending” and “withdrawal”. Note the pending period and the processing promise.
3. Check the limits: minimum withdrawal, weekly cap, instalments for large wins.
4. Find when ID is checked, and whether the deposit must be wagered first.
5. If the FAQ and the terms disagree, plan on the longer one.
